I photographed the Christmas tree lighting ceremony with a visit from Santa Claus in Marietta Square after finishing an assignment for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Thursday, December 1, 2011. Hundreds of families came out to witness the lighting of the tree, listen to holiday songs and take a seat on Santa’s lap. These are some of my favorite images.
