Georgia Shakespeare’s Drama Camp

I photographed Georgia Shakespeare’s Drama Camp at Oglethorpe University in Chamblee for a Three of a Kind photo feature for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Wednesday, June , 2012. The camp has two sessions over the summer which teaches children scenes from two plays. The first session features scenes from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Much Ado About Nothing”. The second session features “Macbeth” and “Romeo & Juliet”.Georgia Shakespeare was founded in 1985 and after a year of fundraising and research by co-founders Kirby McLain Anderson, Richard Garner and Robert Watson, their first season opened in 1986 with rotating performances of “King Lear” and “The Taming of the Shrew”.
