So I have been traveling this past week and have had little if no internet nor phone service. Because of this I am recounting this week backwards. On the final day of roaming around the Pacific Northwest we stopped off at Mount St. Helens. The volcano erupted last in 1980 with the eastern side of the mountain blowing out and destroying over 15 miles of wilderness, killing 57 people and destroying 250 homes, 47 bridges, 15 miles of railways, and 185 miles of highway. Mount St. Helens is part of the Cascade Mountain Range .
