The Buford Wolves have been a Class AA powerhouse over the past decade. From 2001 until 2008 Buford went undefeated and from 2009 through 2011, the Wolves only lost one game. This year, with Jess Simpson still coaching the team, the Wolves have been bumped up to Class AAA. With two wins under their belt already, this past Friday the Wolves took on the Gainesville Red Elephants which I photographed for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The Wolves came out scoring the first touchdown of the game. Gainesville answered with a touchdown of their own however missing the extra point. At the end of the second quarter, Gainesville added another six points to the score ending the half 12-7. The two teams battled on the gridiron for the second half but Gainesville prevailed ending the game 19-15.
