Dance Canvas

Each month Georgia State University hosts Feed Your Senses, a lunch combined with artistic expression. For February and Black History Month, Dance Canvas performed History Through Dance: A Celebration of Dance Pioneers at the Rialto Center for the Arts in Atlanta. The hour long performance consisted of dances by emerging choreographers that were inspired by their mentors and heroes. Dance Canvas was founded in 2008 in order to create a way for emerging choreographers to showcase their work. To help celebrate Black History Month I photographed the some of the dancers for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Each month the Rialto Center for the Arts in Atlanta hosts Feed Your Senses serving lunch with an intimate look at different art forms. This month featured History Through Dance: A Celebration of Dance Pioneers with members of Dance Canvas.
