The Junior League of Atlanta held their ninth annual ShamRock ‘N Roll Road Race at Atlantic Station in Midtown on Sunday. Registration started before the sun came up over downtown Atlanta and over 2,500 runners and walkers participated in the three races. This year, the JLA had a 5k, a 10k and the Leprechaun Dash for Gold Tot-Trot, all three of which started and finished at Central Park inside Atlantic Station. The course wound its way through Midtown ending with a stretch down 17th Street past the archway. The race was a USATF certified course and a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Although it was a typically early start for a road race, racers came decked out in festive St. Patrick’s Day colors and attire including kilts, tutus and all shades of green shirts, shorts, hats and wigs.
