75 athletes from the Georgia Special Olympics team were treated to the two and a half hour Allstate NABC Good Works Team Basketball Clinic at Atlantic Station in the Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta. Eight pop basketball courts were set up and 10 NCAA Division 1, 2 and 3 mens basketball players coached the kids. The coaches included Langston Galloway, a junior guard from Saint Joseph’s University, Jakob Gollon, a junior forward from Mercer University, John Mann and junior forward from Belmont University, Peyton Siva, a senior guard from the University of Louisville, Tyler Thornton, a junior guard from Duke University, Max Brewer, a senior guard from Franklin & Marshall College, Jake Greene, a senior guard from LSU-Shreveport, Joseph Henain, a junior center from Mount St. Mary’s College, Kevin Kotzur, a senior center from St. Mary’s University and Colton Overway, a senior guard from Hope College. Famed NBA players Dominique Wilkins and Steve Kerr also made appearances and helped out with the clinic.
