Thousands of train enthusiasts, both young and old, attended the 2013 National Train Show at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta over the weekend. For three days the 23rd annual event, which changes cities each year, showcased all aspects of model railroading including the industry’s newest and unique products and services from manufacturers and retailers from the U.S. and around the world. The event covered 144,000 square feet of space, including 35,250 sq. ft. featuring extraordinary operating model train displays. Model train clubs from all over the country set up shop and worked their yards for the enjoyment of all. Some of the clubs included the Ark-La-Tex Modular Society, the North Georgia LEGO Train Club, the Atlanta Interlocking Model Railroaders, the Georgia Garden Railroad Society and the Gulf Western Modular Railroad Society.
