Famed civil rights activist, Joseph E. Lowery celebrated turning 92 on Sunday and with such an auspicious occasion at hand, only the best would do. Hundreds of people attended the party at Morehouse College in Atlanta which featured guests such as Tyler Perry, Chris Tucker, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Andrew Young and Jamie Foxx. For four hours, guests were treated to musical performances, dances, spoken word, comedy, an inaugural Joseph E. Lowery Agent of Change Award presentation and a moving tribute to the late Evelyn G. Lowery, another major participant in the civil rights movement and Joseph’s wife.
