I am a beard enthusiast. I have had one for years now but mine is nothing compared to those I witnessed on Saturday at the 2013 Battle of the Beards at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta. For the past three years Battle of the Beards has been pitting competitors against one another for the title of Best Beard in Atlanta. There is also competition for best stache, best lady beard and best partial beard. 62 people from all over the city competed in this year’s battle whose proceeds went to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta.
