January 19, 2014 Atlanta – Alice Delaney (right) and her partner MayC Brown enter Holy Comforter Church in East Atlanta for their blessing of the lifelong covenant ceremony on Sunday, January 19, 2014. Last year, the Atlanta Diocese began performing same sex blessings. The move initially got some resistance but several couples, including Brown and Delaney, have opted to have such a blessing.
