To quote Dazed & Confused, I just want to dance! Around 1,000 country, swing and line dancers came to the Crown Plaza Ravinia hotel in Dunwoody for the Peach State Dance Festival. In its 24th year, the festival features a weekend of instruction, competition, social dancing, and dance performances. Smaller ballrooms filled with people learned new dances such as the cha cha or blurred lines. Glitter, sequins and ten gallon hats filled the main ballroom as couples competed in front of judges as they moved along the floor that covered the majority of the room. The experience made me want to dust off my dancing shoes and go learn a new move or two.
