Saturday was super busy but I made time to head over to Alpharetta to check out the Big Creek Greenway. Near North Point Mall, the multi-use trail was busy with people walking, biking, rollerblading and running. The trail, which is approximately 8 miles, meanders along Big Creek and snakes through the city starting near Roswell and ending near the mall. A soft mulch trail encircles a large wetland between Haynes Bridge Road and Mansell Road. Wildlife such as blue heron, deer, ducks and Canada geese can be observed in this preserved water setting. With the sun shining through the leaves of trees that line the trail, it was a gorgeous day to enjoy the natural beauty of Alpharetta.
