Sunday was the perfect day for a Cinco de Mayo celebration and I got to spend part of the day with 45,000 of my closest friends! The Plaza Fiesta off of Buford Highway in Atlanta hosted the event which celebrated a “holiday” that has become very popular in North America. Bands such as El Guero Y su Banda and La Fe de Nuevo Leon performed on stage as people tried to stay out of the hot sun. The smell of authentic Mexican and other Latin food wafted through the air as throngs of people ate, made crafts, listened to music and played in the parking lot.
