Saturday was a beautiful day. The sun was shining when I pulled up to Madison Ave. in Decatur for the fourth annual soap box derby. This year there were 83 competitors to take to the streets in home made automobiles and I must say that this is the first derby that I have been to that the cars have been tip top. There were fire engines, jets, the DeLorean from Back to the Future, Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters, a bed, the car from the Green Hornet comic books, other cars, Ms. Pacman and so much more. All the stops were pulled out as the races got under way and the crowd cheered on the drivers. Definitely a must see next year!
