So on Saturday night I found three new bands, well at least new to me, that I will be checking out more of. I headed down to The Goat Farm in Atlanta to photograph Curtis Harding, The King Khan & BBQ Show and the Black Lips. I was prepared for a long night as the crowd worked itself into a sort of frenzy. Harding and his band played a relatively short set followed by Arish Ahmad Khan and Mark Sultan (better known as The King Khan & BBQ Show). Dressed as luchadores, the Canadian duo got the crowd pumped as kids crowd surfed to a doo-wop/punk sound that is the hallmark for the garage rock band. Finally the Black Lips took the stage and all bets were off. The next time any of these guys come to play in Atlanta I will be in attendance!
