Finding a Hard Prognosis at the Emory Clinic

Friday, March 13, 2015

Drew Crenshaw has been dealing with a health issue ever since high school. He inexplicably started having extreme pain in his ankles. After x-rays he was found to have minor stress fractures in both feet and wound up in casts, rolling around in a wheel chair for six months. The casts were removed but the pain continued and so did the visits to different doctors around the Southeast.

This happened until, through a family friend, he heard about the Emory Clinic and its ability to help diagnose difficult cases. The aptly named Special Diagnostic Services department within Emory has medical investigators that help diagnose highly challenging medical mysteries.

Drew was at Emory with his mother and brother for a check up and I was given the opportunity to sit in on part of his treatment.
