Former President Jimmy Carter

Former United States President Jimmy Carter sat on a panel for the inaugural World Summit to End Sexual Exploitation on Tuesday. The summit was held at, fittingly, The Carter Center in Atlanta and the former president gave a call to action to those in attendance. The bigger story may however have been Carter’s health as the former president flew home early from South America on Sunday because he was “not feeling well.”

“I have escaped from Guyana because I didn’t want to spread my bad cold all over the country,” Carter, who turned 90 last October, joked during the press conference held after speaking at the summit.
