Starting on July 1, Dekalb County will be getting a new school superintendent. And the job goes to Dr. R. Stephen Green. Green comes from Kansas City Public Schools in Missouri. At 61, the man still has a lot of energy. I caught up with the good doctor as he toured Hambrick Elementary School in Stone Mountain on Wednesday morning. Met by the principal, Dr. Aubrey Brooks and her staff of administrators, the new superintendent spent some time checking out different classrooms full of children learning, even with school ending for the year on Friday. Dr. Green replaces Michael Thurmond when he takes over in July,
