After spending some time watching elk be elk, I headed further north until I reached the famous, and possibly infamous, Trees of Mystery. A little kitschy, but awesome none the less. For example as you turn into the parking lot you are met with a larger than life Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. As you pass through the gate there are trees that rise into the air so far you can’t see the tops of them. There are short stories behind the main attractions including the Family Tree, the Elephant Tree and the Cathedral Trees. There is also the Sky Trail, a type of ski lift that takes you above the tree line with views of the surrounding mountains and even the Pacific Ocean.
