McNary Dam

After enjoying my hike at Sacajawea State Park in Pasco, I headed back to the border between Washington state and Oregon to check out McNary Dam. It lies right on the Columbia River creating tons of hydroelectric power.

It was just a short drive back the way I came and gave me some more time along the river’s banks. The cool thing about the Columbia is that you don’t have to travel very far to get a very different feel from the same river.
