2015 Atlanta Greek Festival

Saturday, September 26, 2015

I am half Greek so I always get a little excited at the end of September for the annual Atlanta Greek Festival. The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation holds the festival each year which features authentic music, dancing, shopping and, of course, food. The church community comes together for four days to put on the event which usually draws tens of thousands of people to the Clairmont Road cathedral. The rain this year caused Saturday to have a lighter start than normal but I still got to hang out and talk to some of my fellow Greeks as they cooked lamb on a spit, put together souvlaki plates, played the bouzouki, danced on stage and so much more!
