I finished off my busy Saturday with a trip to Kirkwood to check out the first ever LantaGras Parade. The neighborhood came out in force to celebrate Mardi Gras both with participants and onlookers as the streets surrounding Bessie Branham Park filled with floats, bands and beads. Some local celebrities like Kebbi Williams, Dashill Smith and the rest of Wolfpack ATL played music, Atlanta City Council member Natalyn Mosby Archibong rode in a convertible tossing beads to the crowd and Chantalle Rytter of Beltline Lantern Parade fame danced and marched with her krewe.
