There’s nothing quite like the Atlanta Fair. For 35+ days, the collection of rides, games, food vendors and more call the grey lot at Turner Field their home. Tens of thousands of visitors will make their way down the main fairway with the sights, sounds and smells that make a fair what it is. Screams from people riding the Himalayan or the Ring of Fire can be heard before you even get to the rides. The delicious smells of sausages, funnel cakes, pizza, corn dogs and more waft through the air. Barkers try to bring in people to play games. Balloons pop as people race to fill them with water or throw darts at them to win overly large stuffed animals. Laughter can be heard near the merry-go-round and the expo wheel. The fair is a cornucopia for the senses that always brings a smile to my face as I snap photos of everything around me.
