After two games on Saturday, Buford and Locust Grove were tied for the Class AAAA state baseball championships with one win each. The deciding game happened on Monday and it was fairly close. Locust Grove hit in a run in the fourth inning and Buford answered in the bottom half. In the fifth inning however the Wildcats put two more up on the board and the Wolves just couldn’t come up with the extra runs. The momentum definitely swung to Locust Grove allowing them to close out the state championship with a 3-1 victory.
