A few miles outside of Colorado Springs sits one of the coolest, free, city parks in the entire United States. Garden of the Gods. The park, which has miles of hiking trails that twist and turn through awesome red rock formations, sits near the base of Pikes Peak. One of the 50 plus 14er mountains in Colorado, Pikes Peak is the inspiration behind the song America the Beautiful and Garden of the Gods is known as the gateway to the mountain.
