I really wish I could have spent all weekend at Kingston Downs in Rome. The north Georgia horse farm turns into a giant festival each May as CounterPoint comes to town. Drawing thousands of electronic dance, jam, and hip hop lovers to the area for a weekend of camping and lots and lots of music. Three stages took over the meadow as people meandered back and forth between them listening and dancing to (at least on Sunday) The Roots, Lettuce, Michal Menert, Minneapolis, Sango, The Bixel Boys and so much more.
Whereas Bonnaroo is on a massive scale, CounterPoint has a great feeling of community and not the crushing crowds. Definitely on the must do (to enjoy and not to shoot) next year!
