We had another early start this morning as we left Kingman and headed toward Grand Canyon National Park. We picked up Route 66 and followed it until Williams, Arizona where we stopped to pick up a cup of joe from the American Flyer Coffee House. Heading out of Williams we picked up 40 until Flagstaff where we decided to again be a little adventurous and take a more scenic route. Traveling on 180 we added an extra 33 or so miles through Coconino and Kaibab National Forests. Snow covered the ground starting on Route 66 all the way into Grand Canyon National Park. We took some time traveling along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon before watching the sun set over Hopi Point. Tomorrow we go back into the park and hopefully hike down into the canyon.
