Georgia SPCA

The Georgia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is located in a small strip mall off of Buford Highway in Suwanee. The no kill shelter houses dogs and cats until good homes can be found. Currently the shelter has close to 65 animals in their care, most of them cats. With a small staff, the SPCA is run mostly with the help of volunteers. I photographed some of the volunteers as they donated their time for a Three of a Kind photo feature for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
