2012 Suwanee Day Festival

Saturday, September 15, 2012

Fall has come to Atlanta and with the changing of the season the metro area celebrates with weekly festivals. It seems that there is at least one, if not multiple festivals each weekend starting at the end of August and running through the beginning of November. The Suwanee Day Festival is one of these events. The first festival was held in 1984 behind what is currently fire station 13. Around 75 people attended the event. 29 years later hundreds if not thousands of people came out to visit artists, informational booths, listen to live music, and participate in children’s and family activities. I photographed the event for a Three of a Kind photo feature for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
