Tennessee State and the University of South Alabama went head to head on Monday during the Coaches vs Cancer Classic at Georgia State University in Atlanta. The Tigers and the Jaguars were pretty evenly matched with the score staying within 7 points for most of the first half. Tennessee State regrouped in the second half widening the lead which hovered around 15 points. South Alabama battled back but still lost by 9 points ending the game 67-58. This was the first matchup during the three day tournament which benefits the American Cancer Society.
