Ice Skating at Park Tavern

Saturday, November 24, 2012

Winter has found its way to Atlanta and with the dropping temperatures Atlantans have taken to the rinks. Ice skating is a popular winter past time and the metro area has plenty of places to strap on a pair of skates. Whether a beginner or a pro hockey player you can find a place around the city to fly, or fall, around the ice. As part of a Three of a Kind photo feature for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, I photographed skaters at the Southwest Rink at Park Tavern. Nestled in the corner of Piedmont Park in downtown,  close to 30,000 skaters are expected at the rink this year which runs through February 19, 2013.
