Tyrone, Georgia set the stage for the semi-final round of the Georgia high school football state championships. The Sandy Creek Patriots faced off against the Monroe Area Hurricanes. The Patriots pulled out all of the stops against the Canes putting up five touchdowns over four quarters and not allowing a single point scored by Monroe Area. I photographed the game for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Next week, undefeated Sandy Creek faces off against Ridgeland for the Class AAAA state championship at the Georgia Dome.
