If you missed yesterday’s post, I just returned from eight days in Mexico. It was relaxing and yet hectic as traveling usually is. During the second day of my trip my camera was stolen leaving me only a small point and shoot with which to capture some of the adventures I experienced. On Thursday I boarded a catamaran and headed to the island of Isla Mujeres across the bay from Cancun City. Isla Mujeres is much smaller and moves at a slower pace than the city which is only a 45 minute boat ride away. The large sailboat was relatively empty with only around 30 people as heavy rain threatened the day. On the way we stopped to snorkel around some of the coral reefs before exploring the quaint village filled with markets and narrow streets.

Great shots!! I’m headed back to Isla for the third time in May. I fall in love with it more and more with each trip.
You really cant see the true beauty of Isla Mujeres in one day trip from Cancun, there are many many things you missed on the island, that bring most of us back year after year, do yourself a favor and go back for a week or 2 you won’t be sorry, i guarantee it.
