It was one of the first beautiful sunny days in April that I had the opportunity to travel to Covington for an assignment. Adopt-A-Horse is a non profit organization that offers trail rides as well as the ability for abused children and adults to work with and care for the 16 horses and ponies that the organization uses as part of therapy. Adopt-A-Horse is located in Covington, Georgia on a natural game preserve that stretches for close to 1,400 acres on the Alcovy River. A family spanning three generations of women decided to go for a trail ride while I was there and graciously extended the invitation for me to tag along.
