Civil rights leaders came out to celebrate America’s Sunday Supper program at the Carter Center in downtown Atlanta to kick off the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. Former President Jimmy Carter, Rev. C.T. Vivian, NBA star Dikembe Mutombo and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s daughter Rev. Bernice King were all in attendance for the program which featured memories and stories revolving around Dr. King and the historic march. One of the highlights of the dinner featured eight-year-old Zaqary Asuamah, who recited most of Dr. King’s famous I Have a Dream speech from memory as well as remarks from the former President and Rev. King.
