With summer coming to a close and children going back to school there is a lot less free time for families around Atlanta to play outside. That being said, there are thousands of local playgrounds all over the metro area for those with a little bit of time and looking for a whole lot of fun. Thrasher Park in Norcross touts a train themed playground making it unique. The playground is situated next to the operating train tracks that run through the quaint downtown area and when trains pass by children stop playing to run down to the tracks to watch the large locomotives pass by. The main equipment on the playground is also shaped like a train with bridges connecting the cars and tunnels denoting the engine and the caboose.
