The Lovejoy Wildcats faced off against the Alpharetta Raiders for this installment of Friday Night Lights. Alpharetta struck the first blow putting up seven points in the first minute and a half in the game. Lovejoy recovered scoring 24 points in the rest of the first half. It looked as if the Raiders were struggling as they only put up a field goal going into halftime trailing 24-10. The second half was quite different. Lovejoy held their 24 points but Alpharetta started chipping away at their lead. The Raiders closed the gap to a touchdown and with under a minute left put up their final six points. In a gutsy move to try and keep from going into overtime, Alpharetta attempted a two point conversion but the Lovejoy defense stopped the play and with the remaining 27 seconds and a failed onside kickoff Lovejoy defeated Alpharetta 24-23.
