Pablo Borrero has a wife and five children. The military veteran is hoping that his wife might be eligible for a reprieve from deportation under a new policy memo from the Obama administration that states that spouses, children and parents of U.S. service members and veterans are able to be exempt in order to keep soldiers’ minds on their tasks at hand instead of worrying about their families while overseas. Borrero now works as a restaurant manager but still worries what to do about his family if his wife is deported. I had the opportunity to hang out with Pablo and his children at their home in Dacula.
