The annual Alpharetta Christmas Tree Lighting celebration was marked by unseasonably warm weather this year and although the threat of rain loomed overhead, it did not stop thousands of people from coming out to witness the lighting of the tree in historic downtown. Santa made an appearance, snow was blown onto the street for snowball fights, an inflatable snow globe allowed families to enter and throw fake snow around, food trucks and gift booths lined the street and a main stage, which was placed differently this year was aglow with musicians and live performances.
