I wound up at the Atlanta Taste of the Trucks Festival after a long day of shooting on Saturday, The second annual festival celebrating the culinary expertise found in a growing food truck population around the city parked itself in a lot off of Spring and 8th streets downtown. Hundreds of people visited the numerous trucks as chefs served up delicious street food to the musical background of bands such as Second Hand Swagger who rocked the crowd for their set. The day long festival featured trucks such as One Love, Yumbii, ChayJ’s Sweet Tea Factory, and Buen Provecha to name just a few of the more than 40 that served up food for the masses. A portion of the proceeds from the festival was donated to the Children’s Restoration Network serving homeless children in Georgia.
