Saturday morning started with the sounds of sneakers squeaking across the court and the thud of balls bouncing off of the boards as three person teams played basketball in the first (hopefully annual) Hoops for the House 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament to help benefit the Covenant House of Georgia. For four hours teams played against one another in a double elimination vie for the top spot to be crowned champions. Teams from Fox5, CBS46, the Atlanta Dream, Turner Broadcasting and many more showed up to play, all to raise money and awareness for the non profit, which helps give homeless teenagers from around the city a chance to make a better life through housing, education and job opportunities.
