There is more to a downtown area than just architecture and buildings. A great downtown signifies community, stability, family and a place that makes residents proud that they call a particular city home. It’s a place to come and enjoy a day of shopping, grab a bite to eat, play, exercise or just spend some time with friends and family. Although Atlanta itself has all of these qualities, there are many cities in the metro area that definitely fall into the category of having a great downtown and Decatur is one of them. Known as an artist friendly city, Decatur has numerous shops filled with local artists’ work as well as great restaurants, a quaint square and much more to offer.
