May 25, 2014 Decatur – Betty Thompson (right) gives Mark Reeve a hug before worship service at Oakhurst Baptist Church in Decatur on Sunday, May 25, 2014. Thompson will be traveling to the Redwood National Forest, where her dad once worked in the conservation corps, in June thanks to a project adopted by parishioners of Oakhurst to raise money to help Betty realize her dream.
