To continue with the final installment of summer camps in the Atlanta area I headed down to Chattahoochee Hills for Camp Serenbe. The camp is nestled in the rolling hills south of the city. The 200 or so acres is filled with campers trying to find their counselors when I arrive. I start to stroll down to the main pavilion which is base camp. There are kids already playing games waiting for everyone else to show up. Badminton, four square, hopscotch and kick ball are already underway before the start of today’s activities which include hiking, kayaking, fishing, taking care of some of the local farm animals and archery. Serenbe reminds me of a summer camp I went to as a child in North Carolina so the nostalgia is ever present as I make my way to check out the different groups of kids laughing and playing.
