Howl-O-Weenie

Saturday morning started off colder than normal. That however did not stop hundreds of dog owners and lovers from coming out to Brook Run Park in Dunwoody for the 2014 Howl-O-Weenie celebration. From the name you may have already guessed that this was mainly a dachshund focused kind of day. Dressed in all sorts of get ups the tiny dogs and their owners participated in howling contests, kissing contests, costume contests, bobbing for apples and other equally crazy contests. There was food and beer, music and numerous vendors hawking everything from dog treats to accessories. All of the proceeds from the event helped cover foster care costs for DREAM Dachshund Rescue.
