Saturday was filled with the smell of smoking meat as Lawrenceville held its annual Rock’n Ribville extravaganza. Thousands of people came out to the Lawrenceville Lawn, a new venue for the event, and tried tons of different barbeque, listened to live music and in general enjoyed the day. All the while, the Kansas City Barbeque Society was judging four categories of meat during a competition to crown the best barbeque of the day. The larger space helped the crowd not feel so large and the lines not seem so long. The barbeque was tender and delicious and the music rockin’.
