Eating Healthy While Traveling

So let’s face it. It is very hard to stay in a healthy lifestyle while traveling. On the go, out of your element and wanting to explore a new place can be hard on a diet or a healthy lifestyle. I know I personally like to explore a new place (whether that be a new city, town, state or country) through its food. A lot of other people seem to feel the same way and are also worried about their children’s eating habits which is leading some Atlanta hotels like the Westin Peachtree Plaza to listen to their guests. Leading the charge is Chef Russell Sleight. Chef Sleight is the executive chef for the hotel and is hands on in terms of offering some healthier children’s options at The Cafe, one of the restaurants inside the Westin. I caught up with Russell as he was starting to prepare some of these dishes. The chef served up The Cafe’s egg and ham quesadillas with fresh pico de gallo as well as the pastel spinach omelette with a side of fresh fruit.
