Saturday brought some of the best collegiate marching bands from around the southeast to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta for the 2015 Honda Battle of the Bands. Eight marching bands including Alabama State University, North Carolina A&T University, and Bethune-Cookman University, all a part of the Historically Black Colleges & Universities society, took the field at the dome to strut their stuff in front of a crowd of thousands. I always love marching competitions, probably because I played the trombone for my high school marching band. There was always a sense of pride and family amongst the band and especially after nailing a performance at a Friday night football game or a Saturday competition.
