So as I said yesterday, I found myself with a few days to kill due to the weather. The good thing about being so close to Yosemite there are plenty of options in terms of outdoor activities and plenty of trails to hike.
Convict Lake is close to where I had spent the evening on the Owens River. Again not really knowing when the storms were going to start, I chose the three mile trail that looped around the entirety of the lake. It was a great choice in my opinion as there were streams leading into the lake that I got to pass by and the trail led very close to the mountains surrounding it.
